Eastside Community Heritage Summer School Programme KS2 Session 4: Music Making Workshop 2 of 2

View Calendar
23/08/2024 10:30 - 12:00

These FREE  sessions are for children age 6-11 and can booked online via Eventbrite or at the Museum.

This session will focus on how music has changed over the years. Children will be given the opportunity to interview a past musician, write lyrics and put instruments together to make their own songs based on sounds from the past -Mod, Rock, Punk, Disco. This is the most ambitious of our five workshops, but will hopefully challenge children’s digital skills and historical imagination.

Over the course of this 5-session programme, children will gain an appreciation for oral history as a source, learn digital skills, explore historical imagination, and gain familiarity with the many histories of East London and Essex, of which they themselves are a part, all while having fun and being creative during their summer holidays!

When booking this music workshop, you must be available and able to commit to attending both this session and the previous week’s.

Please bring your own refreshments to the session. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
