Eastside Community Heritage Summer School Programme Session 3: Music Making Workshop 1 of 2

View Calendar
16/08/2024 10:30 - 12:00

These FREE  sessions are for children age 6-11 and can booked online via Eventbrite  or at the Museum.

This session will be the first of two which will focus on music, and using sound bites and photographs, investigate how it has changed over the years. You will discuss your favourite songs and music and have a chance to design your own historical music star, will it mod, punk or disco, give them a name and decide on the era did they came from? There will also be a chance for some dancing if you want to.

Over the course of this 5-session programme, children will gain an appreciation for oral history as a source, learn digital skills, explore historical imagination, and gain familiarity with the many histories of East London and Essex, of which they themselves are a part, all while having fun and being creative during their summer holidays!

When booking this music workshop, you must be available and able to commit to attending both sessions.

Please bring your own refreshments to the session. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
